Cannes awards Khomerikis film

A film by Russian director Nikolay Khomeriki was awarded at Cannes festival within the Cinefondation programme. Half an hour of Vdvoyom (Two) features a story of mother and son spending their last days together.
       It was produced by the French cinema school La Fernis in cooperation with the Russian company Arsen Gotlieb- Metronom film. The major roles are played by Natalya Kolyakanova and Artiom Smola.
       Nikolay Khimeriki graduated from the Higher School of Scriptwriters and Directors studying under such masters as Vladimir Khotinenko, Pavel Finn and Vladimir Fenchenko. In 2001, he won a grant of the French Foreign Office to study at La Fernis. In March 2005, his ten-minute piece got a special prize at the Russian festival called Kinoteatr.doc.
