Dinara Safina and Svetlana Kuznetsova won the half-final of the French Open championship.

Svetlana Kuznetsova came through three tours against Australian Samantha Stosur at the French Open on Thursday and Dinara Safina won the 6-3 victory over Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova. Earlier Dominika Cibulkova beat Maria Sharapova.
Svetlana Kuznetsova set up an all-Russian final with Dinara Safina. Both Russian players struggled to hold serve in the first set.
We are not friends," said Svetlana Kuznetsova, "so we would not celebrate the victory together. We are rivals first of all, but sometimes we played in pair.
It is the second straight French Open final for Safina. She lost to Serbian Ana Ivanovic last year but hit the top of the Women's Tennis Association rankings this April. Kuznetsova is a good opponent for Safina. Kuznetsova won the U.S.A. Open championship in 2004.
