Rarities of Pushkin’s epoch are displayed at the exhibition Pushkin and Music open from June 4 in Glinka State Central Museum of Music Culture, Moscow.
It is dedicated to the 210th anniversary since birthday of the great Russian poet, whose life was abounding in music impressions.
In the exposition halls at the address 4, Fadeyev Street one can see various relics associated with Alexander Pushkin and his contemporaries. A special place at the exhibition is given to the composer Mikhail Glinka. Pushkin’s contemporaries Griboyedov, Prince Odoyevsky, Count Vielgorsky, and Verstovsky created a lot of music compositions to his poems.
Connoisseurs say that it was Pushkin’s poetry that greatly determined the music language of the Russian romance song and Russian opera.
The exhibition runs till August 10.
