The activity of the inhabitants of Pikalevo village

The inhabitants of Pikalevo village are very active it is very unusual for Russian villages, and their life is really hard. They struggled with the nearest city Boksitogorsk for the local centre status in 2006. Then they rushed into the city hall building when the anti-crisis conference was taking place there. They blocked off the highway Vologda New Ladoga (2, june 2009). And asked for premier Putin arrival. And Putin arrived. There are three factories and they cannot work in coordination because of the crisis and different owners thus the inhabitants have not got wages for long. There were many suggestions and promises given by Putin to the inhabitants, there were some words about the nationalization of the factories. But the main problem still remains.
