The famous Russian film director Yevgeni Tashkov is making a film on life and love of Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
The picture tentatively entitled Three Women of Dostoyevsky tells about relations between Fyodor Mikhailovich and the women he loved. They were Maria Isaeva /the writer’s first wife/, Appolinaria Suslova/his lover/ and Anna Snitkina /his second wife/.
Speaking about the concept of his work the film director pointed out that he wanted to show the life of the great Russian writer through the women that were close to him.
“The script, which I wrote back in 1993, is based on historical documents, such as the correspondence of Dostoyevsky with his brother, and memoirs of Anna Snitkina, as well as Yuri Seleznyov’s book” - the film-director said.
