Public opinion poll  does Russians drink more then before?

Public opinion poll among Russian people from different regions and cities bore out that people takes more stiff drinks than in 1990-th. The amount of people drinking twice a week increased from 5% to 8%. 23% of Russian people drink once or twice a month, 25% - rarer than once a month. Every fourth Russian citizen does not drink stiff drinks at all. Drunkenness is wide spread in small cities and villages. Non-drinking women are twice as many as non-drinking men. The most part of Russians suppose that dry law is an effective measure against drunkenness .
