Bolivia intends to buy Russian-made military equipment

During the talks in Moscow in February, Russia and Bolivia signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation. Bolivia said that Russian military equipment is one of the best in the world. Bolivian Defense Minister Walker San Miguel said that the country needs new weapons aircrafts, radars, helicopters only for the settling the internal conflicts. The Latin American country also is interested in buying a number of Russian-made Mi-17 Hip multipurpose helicopters.
      The main goal of the country is to combat terrorism and drug industry. Bolivia is known as the world's third largest producer of cocaine after Colombia and Peru.
