Ulyanovsk becomes more and more popular among foreign tourists

This year the city gathered much more foreign guests than last years notwithstanding the crisis. Foreign tourists cruising down Volga River pay their attention to this small and ancient Russian city. The tourists interest is mainly caused by the fame of Lenin, who was born here. The cities name Ulyanovsk appeared in 1924 year because of Lenins real name Ulyanov. Earlier it5 was called Simbirsk. City also attracts tourists because of many interesting museums: Aviation museum, Simbirsks Meteorological Station, Historical Museum. This year a new Museum of Honey and Archeology Park will be opened for tourists in Ulyanovsk
