MAKS 2009  10 billion dollar air show

The International Air Show MAKS 2009, which closed yesterday in the town of Zhukovsky under Moscow, turned out to become a great success. The total worth of deals made during the event is estimated at $10 billion, making MAKS 2009 the most effective air show in terms of business ever conducted in Russia.
      
      To compare: the worth of contracts signed at MAKS 2007 was 3 billion dollars, in 2005 the show brought $5 billion dollars.
      
      711 companies from 34 countries, including 436 Russian firms, took part in MAKS 2009.
