No More Place for Satellites
Geostationary orbit

By 2025 geostationary orbit will not be able to host new communication satellites. Currently the orbit hosts satellites and final stages of rockets, which delivered said satellites to the orbit.

Russian engineers suggest a solution they say that heavy multipurpose platforms can replace tens pr even hundreds of satellites. Such platforms were developed in Russia in 2000.

Geostationary orbit is located straight over the equator and is extremely useful for providers of communication services, since satellites on this orbit do not change their position regarding to Earths surface.
