The Bulgarian authorities are considering a sale of a stake in Belene nuclear power plant to Russia, the Bulgarian minister of finance said on Friday.
      Russia and Bulgaria signed an agreement on construction of the nuclear power plant in Belene in January of 2008.
      At the moment Bulgaria holds 51% of shares in the project, while German RWE controls 49% of shares.
      The project may become economically viable if the government stake is reduced to 20-22%, said the minister.
