South Korean Steel Giants to Buy Coal From Russia

Yesterday Hyundai Steel and Posco, two steel-making giants based in South Korea, signed 5-year coal purchase contracts with Russian companies.
      Hyundai Steel will buy up to 300 000 tons of coal a year from russian Sibirsky Antracit based in the Novosibirsk Region of Russia, the press service of the South Korean company reported.
      Later Posco agreed to purchase 1 million tons of coke coal a year from Sibuglemet the document was signed in the Kemerovsk Region on Wednesday.
      Both contracts will come into force in 2010.
