Terminal D of Sheremetyevo airport: D for “defect”

The Russian bloggers have rendered verdict towards functioning of the new terminal of Moscow airport of Sheremetyevo, Terminal D. The passengers are really disappointed. The main problems are permanent flight delays and troubles in luggage dispensing. There are some other moments giving rise to unfavourable criticism.

One of the bloggers compares notes: on the whole, it was not bad, but in details it is ill-structured. The people are missing flights and crying.

Other is describing the situation with check-in desks. First of all, there are no common announcements about the beginning of registration of the certain flight on the certain desk. The fact that only 16 desks of 50 are functioning, is simplifying the quest find-your-desk. Finding anything in the Terminal D is always an amazing quest. If your good luck holds you find it before it closes and the registration program in computer would function.

The system of elevators in the Terminal D deserves to be a topic for an article. You pitch upon them trying to find check-in desks.

The question is what it means. Is this glorious mess something temporary (the terminal is absolutely new) or is it a system attribute, however much wanted to wave it away.

We can offer you fast Transfer ServICe to and from any Moscow airport, railway station and bus station. Our driver will await you with a sign bearing your name.
