St. Patricks parade to be held near Kiyevskaya Metro, 21 March

The traditional St.Patricks Parade rout in Moscow has been changed. This year the parade will start on Kutuzovsky prospect at 12.00 following in Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya St. up to the square in front of Kiyevsky train station.
      The parade in honor of St. Patrick who is considered to bring Christianity in Ireland, has been held in Moscow since 1992. The constant place for its organizing has been New Arbat St.
      About thousand people will take part in the parade, among them musicians of Irish bands, dancers, orchestra of Russian Minister of Defense, Kazaks on horses and actors in costumes of Irish fairy tale characters. Mayor of Moscow is expected to attend the parade.
      St. Patricks Day is marked on March 17 all over the world, but for the Muscovites convenience the parade is shifted to the weekend, 21 March.
