Finger of Ancient Altaian Girl Points to Highly Developed Culture

Archeologist Mikhail Shunkov who has found a bone of the Altaian man presumes that parallel mankind had a well-developed culture that was equal to culture of the man of modern physical appearance.
      He made his suggestion based on the finds discovered in the same cultural layer as the girls bone.
      Stone tools and various ornaments of stone and bone have been found. There is a stone bracelet, and a marble carved ring among them. The most important and unexpected thing is that these articles were used with the help of techniques not typical for such remote time. They are characteristic of later epochs - Mikhail Shunkov upholds his bold hypothesis that parallel humankind was not at all a dead-end and culturally backward branch of evolution.
      The finger bone dug out in Denisova Cage in Altai is dated 30 to 40 thousand years back, whereas the girl was 5 or 8 years old. Neanderthal man, Homo sapiens and the Altaian girl are branches of the same stem that had come from Africa about 2 million years back.
      According to Shunkov the Altaian man separated from it around a million years ago (some scientists hypothesize the possibility of local origin of the Altaian man), whereas Neanderthal man and Homo sapiens did it only 500 thousand years later.
