 Aleksei (Alexander) Kruchenykh


Born:   February 21, 1886
Deceased:   June17, 1968

Poet, theorist, man of letters, futurist, and inventor of zaum (along with V. Khlebnikov).

      

In 1930 due to changed artistic situation in the country Aleksei Eliseevich Kruchenykh’s poems stopped being published; from then on Kruchenykh directed his energies on study and classification of the new art of futurism.
