Russian stage director


Konstantin Bogomolov was born into the family of film critics Yury Bogomolov and Olga Ulyanova on July 23, 1975.
He graduated from the Philology Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1997 and from the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in 2003.
Konstantin Bogomolov worked as a  stage director of Oleg Tabakov Theater from 2007 and of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre from 2011. Till November, 2013 he held the post of an assistant art director of the Moscow Art Theatre.
In 2014 he became a regular stage director of the Lenkom Theater, Moscow.
Prizes and Awards
2007 — the stage production Much Ado about Nothing gained him The Seagull theatre award in the nomination Take a Step for nonconventional rendition of a classical work.
2012 — Konstantin Bogomolov won Oleg Tabakov's Award for "original rendition of domestic classics".
2013 — he got Oleg Yankovsky's Award "Creative Discovery".
2014 - Critics' Prize of the Golden Mask festival for staging the comedy The Ideal Husband.
