Olga Della-Vos-Kardovskaya was born into the family of Ludwig Della-Vos, a valid councilor of state, the chairman of Control and State Chambers in Kharkov.

Her uncle Victor Della-Vos (1829 — 1890) was the first director of the Imperial Moscow Technical School (nowadays Moscow State Technical University).

She studied at Shreyder's school in Kharkov from 1891 to 1894, and the Higher Art School for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under the Imperial Academy of Arts from 1894 to 1899. Later she moved to Munich to attend Anton Azhbe's school from 1899 to 1900.
 
Olga Della-Vos got married to the artist D. Kardovsky in 1900.
 
From 1902 to 1917 Olga Della-Vos participated in various exhibitions. Her works are kept and exhibited in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Revolution Museum, etc. Her painting Member of Military Revolutionary Council, Comrade I. A. Halensky was displayed at the exhibition for the fifth anniversary of The Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in 1923. In the same year Olga Della-Vos-Kardovskaya participated in an exhibition of the Revolutionary Russia Artists Association.
