 Ivan Vyrypaev


Born:   August 03, 1974

Russian playwright, screenwriter, stage and film director, actor, and art director of the Praktika Theatre in Moscow.

      

In 1995 Ivan Vyrypaev graduated from the Irkutsk Theatre College and worked as an actor of the Magadan Theater for one season and then the Drama Theater in Kamchatka for two seasons.
In 1998 Ivan Vyrypaev founded the theatre studio Space of Play in Irkutsk. The same year he entered the Schukin Higher Theatrical School to become a stage director.
In 1999 — 2001 Ivan Vyrypaev taught acting in the Irkutsk Theatre College.
Since 2006 he has been the art director of the new theater Praktika.
In 2005 Ivan Vyrypaev founded the creative project agency Kislorod Movement, which is engaged in projects in the field of cinema, theater and literature.
Ivan Vyrypaev is the scriptwriter and the production director of the films Euphoria (2006) and Oxygen (2009), the animated film Supergoper (2009), and the TV series Delhi Dance (2012).
He authored scripts for the films Other District (2003), Heaven on Earth 2 (2005), the TV series Bunker, or Learning Underground (2006), Antonina Turned Back (2007), and The Best Time of the Year (2007).
Ivan Vyrypaev is widely known and popular in Europe as a playwright, stage director, and the author of original creative projects. His stage productions as well as his plays are a success in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and England. His play The Dreams has been translated into English, French, German, Bulgarian, and Polish, the play St. Valentine's Day has a German version, and the play Oxygen is now available in the Polish, German, Bulgarian, Romanian, English, and French languages.
Ivan Vyrypaev works in Moscow, and lives both in Russia and Poland. He is married to the Polish actress Carolina Grushka and has a daughter born in 2012. He also has two sons from his two previous marriages.
