Peter Aidu is the winner of international competitions: Youth Pianist Contest in Cincinnati (the USA, the 1st Award and the Grand Prix, 1991), the 8th Rome Pianists Contest (Italy, the 2nd Award, 1997), and Musica Antiqua Brugge (Belgium, 2004).
Peter Aidu was born into the family of musicians in Moscow on June 10, 1976.
From 1983 he was trained at the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory, where he majored in piano and studied composition and improvisation.
In 1994 he finished music school and entered the Moscow Conservatory, majoring in piano and organ.
From 1995 he also studied composition under Yuri Vorontsov and jazz performance under Daniil Kramer. He also took audio engineering courses at the State Variety and Jazz Art School.
Teaching:
Upon postgraduation in 2002 Pyotr Aydu undertook teaching at the Faculty of Historical and Modern Performing Art (chamber ensemble as well as playing ancient keyboard instruments). He presently holds masterclasses from the Russian Culture Foundation.
Concert activity:
Peter Aidu participated in concerts in the Carnegie Hall, the Big Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Hall, Oji Hall, Taipei Concert Hall, the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, Beethoven's House in Bonn and other concert halls.
The musician toured around the cities of Russia, Estonia, Belarus, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
