Valeria Igorevna Dudinskaya was born in Moscow in 1984. Valeria Guy is her name, and Germanika is her nickname.
She graduated the Cinema and Television School Internews, where she studied under Marina Razbezhkina.
Valeria has been making films since the age of 19 years. As she says she worked as a cameraman at a porn studio.
Valeria Germanika’s second film Girls became a prize-winner at the Kinotavr Film Festival as the best short film, and was also screened in the framework of Days of Russia at the 59th Cannes Film Festival. Her next film The Birthday of Infanta entered the main competition of Kinotavr and her film All Will Die, and I Will Stay was demonstrated at the Cannes Film Festival of 2008 in the Gold Camera competition and awarded the Specific Mention (Mention Spéciale) of the jury as the best debut feature film.
Valeria gained fame after the release of her scandalous TV series School (2010). Afterwards she directed the series Short Course on Happy Life (2012).
