Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman are the designers behind the creative label FYODOR GOLAN.
Golan moved to London for the prestigious Istituto Marangoni and Fyodor attended the distinguished Royal Academy of Fine Arts-Antwerp before moving to London, where the two met. Both designers are coming from Fine Art backgrounds and previous experience that includes Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons, Richard Nicoll and Issey Miyake.
The designers debuted their A/W 12 “Pagan Poetry” collection in London, which led to collaborate with Lady Gaga in creating custom looks. The designers won the coveted 2011 Fashion Fringe award helmed by Roland Mouret and Claudia Schiffer with their second season S/S 12 “Flowers of Evil”. The design duo have since been showing On Schedule at London Fashion Week. Currently stocked in luxury retailers around the globe including Harvey Nichols London, Boutique No7 in Moscow, Alan Journo Milan, Russell Street Hong Kong, and Valley Dez in Dubai among others. The brand’s latest collection was received with rave reviews and helped broad Designers profiles internationally.
FYODOR GOLAN were recently the youngest Label to be the focus of the Victoria & Albert Museum - Fashion in Motion show exhibition, previous designers include Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto and Kenzo amongst others. Through an expressive dialogue the designers look for purity in shape/form and integrity texture/detail, using these elements to create their signature. Painting is their core and provides a constant source of inspiration through which FYODOR GOLAN create shapes and proportions, mirroring these into garments. Fusing their conceptualist approach with beautiful hand detailing, the manipulation of fabric captures the imagination and creates their vision inspired by intricacies of nature.
