Nerekhta

Nerekhta is a city (since 1778) in the Kostroma Region of Russia, the administrative center of the Nerekhta District.

The city is located on the banks of the Nerekhta River (an inflow of Solonitsa), 46 km away from Kostroma. Its population makes 21 719 people (as of 2015).
