Zelenodolsk is a Russian city (since 1932), the administrative center of the Zelenodolsk District in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Zelenodolsk is located on the left bank of River Volga, 38 km away from Kazan. The Zelenodolsk District borders on the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Mari El.
Zelenodolsk is the second most important subject of the Kazan Agglomeration, the Capital economic region of Tatarstan and the Kazan and Zelenodolsk industrial territory hub. It is the 5th largest in population city of Tatarstan. Its population makes 98 763 people as of 2016.
Transport:
In the city there is the railraod terminal Zeleny Dol, which is the key station for transport service of the Mari El Republic. Besides, the railway line from Kazan to Moscow also runs through this station.

* The Gorky Shipbuilding Plant Museum (founded in 1970 with about 15 000 storage units);
