Boldino is one of the most remarkable and the biggest Pushkin museums in Russia. Pushkin’s family estate Boldino played an exceptional role in the creative biography of the poet: the so-called “Boldino autumn” of 1830 was outstandingly fruitful for Pushkin’s poetry and made this place remembered all over Russia. Here he completed “Eugene Onegin” and a number of other famous masterpieces.
The reserve with the total area of over fifty hectares includes thirteen architectural monuments, most of which were restored in the 1985-1990s, as well as two estate parks in Boldino and L’vovka settlement.The museum features the poet’s life and work during his stay here.
