How to get there and away

Air

Izhevsk airport operates flights to/from Moscow (Domodedovo airport, 2 hours, daily), St. Petersburg (Pulkovo airport, 3-4 hours, once a week), Anapa (3 hours, once a week), Yekaterinburg (1-2 hours, three times a week), Krasnodar (6 hours, once a week), Nizhnevartovsk (5 hours, once a week), Samara (1-2 hours, once a week), Sochi (3 hours, twice a week), and Surgut (5 hours, twice a week).

Train

There are daily trains to/from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tumen, Novorossiysk, Adler, Ufa, Votkinsk, and Kazan.

Car

Izhevsk is located about 1000 kilometers to the northeast of Moscow. Automobile communication with Moscow is operated through the main highway #7 -"Moscow - Kazan" with further movement along local highway "Kazan - Izhevsk".
