No doubt, you should visit the old Siberian capital of Tobolsk, which is the most interesting destination in Tyumen Region. The ancient city of Tobolsk has a number of attractions: elegant old Kremlin, blue-domed St. Sofia Cathedral, Intercession Cathedral, Bishops Chambers, old Trading Arcades, and Bell Tower.

Tyumen, the capital of Russia's largest region and largest gas and oil-exporting area, is a kind of Siberian business capital.

The village of Pokrovskoe in the Tyumen Region is also known as the birthplace of Grigory Rasputin, one of the most mysterious figures in Russian history.
