Melikhovo is one of the most remarkable monuments of Russian culture. Here the great Russian author Anton Pavlovich Chekhov lived and worked from 1892 to 1899. The Melikhovo museum fund counts over 20 thousand exhibits.

The museum lovingly preserves the memory of Chekhov as a writer, a doctor, and a public figure.
