In the years of its existence the State Literary Museum has grown into one of the biggest funds of cultural wealth of Russia.

The museum includes 13 branches located in Moscow and the Moscow region. The museum funds harbor unique books, manuscripts, writers’ drawings, paintings, rare photos and other materials associated with the history of Russian classical and modern literature. The overall collection amounts to over a million units.
