The State Museum of L. N. Tolstoy is a complex of museums dedicated to the writer, a world known centre for research and propagation of Tolstoy’s creative heritage, and a richest fund of manuscripts, books, pictures, and memorial materials related to life and creation of the great writer.
The eight halls of the mansion exhibit most precious collections including paintings, sculptures, photos, Tolstoy’s original books published in his lifetime, and so on. The visitors have a chance to plunge into the atmosphere of the last century (antique portraits, etchings, personal belongings of Tolstoy’s family create a special aura) and peep into the writer’s creative laboratory.
