Tsivilsk is a Russian city, the administrative center of the Tsivilsky municipal district in Chuvashia.
The city stands at the confluence of rivers Bolshoi Tsivil and Maly Tsivil. It is situatied 36 km away from Cheboksary at the intersection of highways of state value Nizhny Novgorod — Kazan M7 and Tsivilsk — Ulyanovsk — Syzran A151 and highways of republican value. Railroad line Kanash — Cheboksary runs 6 km away from Tsivilsk.

Historical and architectural monuments here are the Tikhvin Bogorodsky Monastery (the 17th century) with restored Cathedral of the Tikhvin Mother of God Icon and wooden Charlampus Church (1880), the Holy Trinity Cathedral (1734) with the belltower and church of John the Almsgiver, the Church of Our Lady of Kazan (1735), and old merchant-like houses.
