Chamzinka is a Russian industrial township in Mordovia, the administrative centre of the Chamzinka District.

It has the Chamzinka railway station on the Gorky Railroad (Code 24710).

The town has the population of 9504 people (2014).

Chamzinka stands on River Nuya, 50 km to the northeast of Saransk. Road P178 Saransk — Samara runs not fat from the town.

Chamzinka was founded in 1624 and got the town status in 1960.

The town got its name after the pre-Christian Mordovian name of Chaunz (aka Chamza).
