    Staroe Shaigovo

Staroe Shaigovo is a settlement in the Republic of Mordovia, the administrative center of the Staroe Shaygovo District since 1928.

Its population makes 5185 people.

It stands on the right bank of River Sivin, 60 km away from Saransk and 28 km away from the Hovanshchina railway station.

Staroe Shaigovo was first recorded in 1692.
