Ardon is a city (since 1964) in Russia, the administrative center of the Ardonsky District of North Ossetia, and a railway station of the North Caucasian railroad.

The city is located on the Ossetian Plain, on the bank of River Ardon, 39 km to the northwest of Vladikavkaz.

Its population consists of 15 672 Ossetians (78,1 percent), 4 346 Russians (17,8 percent) and 257 Armenians (1,4 percent).
