Zavodskoy is an urban township in the Republic of Northern Ossetia-Alania. it is the northern suburb of Vladikavkaz, the capital city of the republic. Zavodskoy is a part of the Industrial Municipal District of Vladikavkaz.
The township is located 1 km to the north of the city of Vladikavkaz. To the southwest of Zavodskoy and across River Terek there is the Village of Nogir, and to the northwest there is the Village of Mikhailovskoye.
The township's population of 16507 people consists of Ossetians (75,9%),
Russians (19,2%), Armenians (1,6%), Georgians (1,2%), and Ukrainians (0,6%)
The township has the Kolonka railway station of the North Caucasian Railroad. Suburban trains from Vladikavkaz to Beslan stop at the station.
Bus routes connect Zavodskoy to Vladikavkaz.
