Vurnara is a Russian urban township, the administrative center of the Vurnarsky District of the Chuvashia Republic.

Vurnara stands in the central part of Chuvashia, 91 km to the south of Cheboksary. It has a railway station on the line Kanash-Arzamas. The township has the population of 9679 people, including Russians, Chuvashs, and some other nationalities.
