"Moscow Summer, Flower Jam" Festival

The festival "Moscow Summer, Flower Jam" will be held in the Russian capital from July 20 to August 6 with a new concept, said the head of the Department of Trade and Services of Moscow, Alexei Nemeryuk.

As A.Nemeriuk said at a meeting of the city government, the festival will be held on the principle of "Sweet summer plus a city of flowers" at 42 venues. In particular, the following fests are planned in the event calendar: Cake Day (July 20), Gingerbread Day (July 21), Ice Cream Day (July 22), Amateur Flower Garden Competition (July 23), Rose Day (July 24), Garden Day (July 29), Honeymoon (July 30), candy  festival (July 31), Moscow International Forum of Urban Landscape Design and Floristry (August 5), Flower Ball on Tverskaya Square (August 6).

 
In addition, on August 5, Moscow will celebrate the Day of Jam.
 
According to A. Nemyryuk, 79 restaurants and cafes will work on the festival grounds, and more than 290 enterprises will participate in the trade program.
 
39 regions of Russia and more than 20 countries of the world will bring their products to the festival, including Japan, China, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Greece, France and others.
 
Producers will present the author's ice-cream-spaghetti from Italy, sweets from Korea and China, desserts ice-cream from Japan, natural marmalade and halva from India and Armenia, 17 kinds of Spanish sweets turron, etc.
 
In addition, more than 100 varieties of ice cream and more than 200 types of tea can be tried on the festival grounds.
 
Lovers of flowers will be able to buy seeds and seedlings, dried flowers and herbaria, flowers in pots, bouquets, gifts, and souvenirs with floral ornaments.
