Jewish Autonomous Region Is Leading In Industrial Production Growth
December 6, 2017 17:00

The growth of industrial production in the Jewish Autonomous Region for the first 10 months of this year amounted to 47.5%, which makes the region the leader in this indicator not only in the Far East, but also in Russia as a whole. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

As the governor of the region, Alexander Levintal, said, the growth is observed in other sectors of the economy. "In the sphere of agriculture the growth made 121.6%, in construction - 68.9%. We launched the mining and processing plant last year, so the extractive industries grew almost sevenfold, but the manufacturing sector grew by 25%. Taking into consideration the performance of other regions of Russia, this is also very good," - said the Head of the region.

Moreover, the Governor noted that much is being done in the region to attract the investments. In particular, a special regional agency was established, and it was decided to allocate land for investors without bidding.
