Moscow has been included into the top five of the best cities in the world in the ranking of the international Resonance Consultancy company, as Vladimir Efimov, the Deputy Mayor of the Capital for Economic Policy, Property and Land Relations, told to reporters.
“Moscow ranked 5th in the annual Best Cities ranking published on January 7, the city is followed by Dubai, Singapore, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Rome. Promotion in this ranking is a great achievement with such “neighbors” as New York, London, Paris and Tokyo occupying the first four lines; this was made possible by the comprehensive work on the city development”, as the Deputy Mayor emphasized.
Efimov noted that the Best Cities ranking evaluated the 100 leading cities of the world in six categories, and Moscow showed positive dynamics in five of them. In turn, the Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of Moscow Denis Tikhonov noted that the most considerable upswing wasrecorded in the categories of “Economic Prosperity” (from 117th to 20thplace during the year),”Place of Residence” (climate, security, urban environment assessment), “Pastime” (culture, restaurant industry and shopping), “Popularization” (mentioning on the Web), “Product” (infrastructure and sights).
