Italy has stormed the Russian capital with two concurrent exhibitions featuring the finest Italian-made interior furnishings and products for the construction industry.
The first ever edition of MADE expo WorldWide jumped on the bandwagon of the famous Saloni WorldWide furniture show and landed in the north-west of Moscow at the prestigious Crocus Expo 2 exhibition centre on 15 to 18 October 2014.
An exhibition area of 19,000 square meters housed several hundred exhibitors, strengthening ties between top quality companies from both countries, who act as spokesman and promoter of Italian lifestyle around the world. Construction, furnishing, decoration: in other words the home split into three prestigious sectors of Made in Italy in all its facets. Oikos, with its complete vision and approach to the home and to architecture, thanks to its innovative materials with which to renew interior settings, recreate surfaces and propose innovative design solutions, couldn't not be present at this important event.
At Made Expo Worldwide, it is presenting Oikos Green Design, a project that started 30 years ago and that shows off the possibilities for all the areas of the home, proposing eco-sustainable colours and materials, the result of a production process that recovers and re-uses the residue and waste from other manufacturing cycles, both its own and those of others.
During the four-day trade event, designers, architects and buyers from across Russia and the former Soviet Republics gained unique insights into the best Italian manufacturers have to offer in: floors and wall coverings in ceramic tiles, stone and other materials; internal and entrance doors; handles; paint, stucco and decorative interior finishes; walls and partitions, false ceilings; frames and façades.
ICE, the Italian Trade Agency, also prepared master classes that brought three leading names in design and architecture to the Saloni WorldWide Moscow and MADE expo WorldWide 2014: Marco Romanelli, Riccardo Blumer and Mario Cucinella.
