LinkedIn Can Return Money To Russian Users
November 20, 2016 14:25

LinkedIn social network is ready to return the money for paid services in connection with the blocking on the territory of Russia. This is stated in the company’s statement sent out to registered users on Friday, November 18.

Refund is provided “in proportion to the unused time”. In order to do this, users should contact the company via e-mail. It is also reported that people of Russia will be able to get full access to LinkedIn abroad. T

he account will then be maintained as long as the owner does not decide to close it. Providers started blocking LinkedIn on November 17, a week after the Moscow City Court supported the requirement of the Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications to limit access to social networks. The agency has several claims to the social network.

The first one concerns the fact that LinkedIn has not transferred servers to Russia, as it is required under Russian law. In addition, Roskomnadzor insists that LinkedIn illegally collects and transmits information about the citizens who are not the users of the network.
