Russia Signed a Joint Statement With China On the Technical-and-Economic Assessment

 The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) have signed a joint statement on the technical-and-economic assessment (TEA) of the Eurasian Economic Partnership Agreement.

The document was signed by the Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin and Minister of Commerce of China Zhong Shan. “The document records the main goals and objectives of the technical-and-economic assessment, the experts of the parties plan to complete the work within six months.

It is a question of examining certain aspects of the economic part of the Eurasian comprehensive partnership, concerning the joint promotion initiative, upon which Russia and China agreed on June 25, 2016 within the framework of Vladimir Putin’s visit to China” - the Ministry of Economic Development noted.

It is also reported that the within the frame of work on the technical-and-economic assessment the experts of the two countries will examine the prospects of formation of a Eurasian Economic Partnership, including by economic-mathematical evaluation of the benefits and risks of implementation of certain points of the agreement in trade, economic and investment spheres.
