The Russian Industrial Zone In Egypt can Start Its Work In December 2018

The Russian Export Centre (REC) and the Administration of Port Said will sign two documents within the framework of the establishment of the Russian industrial zone in Egypt. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

According to him, one of the documents will be an intergovernmental agreement that will ensure protection for business entities, the second agreement will be concluded directly between REC and Port Said, which is completely satisfactory for the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. “We expect that this will be implemented fairly quickly – either this year, at the most, at the beginning of the next year” - Manturov stated.

The Russian industrial zone in Egypt can start its work in December 2018. EEF-2017 has been held in Vladivostok from September 6 to September 7. The forum has been attended by the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the guests included the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, South Korean President Mun Zhe Ying and Mongolia’s President Khaltmaagiin Battulga.
