Wikipedia presented a list of articles in the Russian-language section that were most often visited by users in 2020. Three articles on the topic of coronavirus hit the top ten. Top 10 most read articles: COVID-19 pandemic (38,945 views per day) Coronaviruses (20,833) YouTube (15,866) Putin, Vladimir Vladimirovich (12 716) Russia (12,273) COVID-19 (10 211) List of deaths in 2020 (10,068) VKontakte (9652) Spanish flu (9565) Moscow (9333) Popular articles published in 2020: Pandemic COVID-19 (38,945 views per day, first in the general list). COVID-19 (10,211, sixth place). List of deaths in 2020 (10,068, seventh place). The spread of COVID-19 in Russia (5802, 33rd place). SARS-CoV-2 (5702, 35th place). Amendments to the Constitution of Russia (5044, 47th place). Armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh (4305, 58th place). In 2019, the most visited articles of the Russian-language Wikipedia were: "Zelensky, Vladimir Alexandrovich", "Russia", "The accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant", "Nachalova, Yulia Viktorovna", YouTube, "Putin, Vladimir Vladimirovich", "Freddie Mercury", "Avengers: Endgame", "List of Deaths in 2019" and Game of Thrones (TV Series). Among Wikipedia's materials written in 2020, the most popular were several articles about the coronavirus pandemic, as well as articles about amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and about the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Among the materials written before 2020, views grew up for articles about coronaviruses, the presidential elections in Belarus, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the pandemic.
