Another big name in the line-up of the 25 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is Giles Deacon.
His Spring-Summer’13 collection is based on the idea of the broken glass, and is far from romanticism.

Over the years of his career in the fashion industry, Giles has been named "Designer of the Year" numerous times and also worked with brands such as Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Emanuel Ungaro. His first collection under the brand of Giles Deacon, which was subsequently renamed to Giles, was presented in 2004 at the Chelsea Pensioner's Club at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea. The collection became a sensation and was bought by Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges. Today, Giles Deacon is one of the most popular British designers. Many celebrities follow his style. Thandie Newton, Kate Moss, Kristen Scott Thomas, Drew Barrymore, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Daisy Lowe, Daphne Guinness, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Carey Mulligan are among Giles' fans. Victoria Beckham wore a Giles dress at the opening ceremony of the last summer's Olympic Games in London.

As part of Moscow's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, renowned British designer presented the Spring Summer’13 collection. His idea is to move away from the mind-blowing romanticism of his previous show and create a chaos of the graphical crash in his new looks. Giles achieves this goal through turning the pieces of the broken glass or mirror into the gorgeous elements his designs. Such details are reflected in the prints of the dresses, laser cut of the silk and leather, geometric shapes of the dresses, which are decorated with Swarovski crystals in combination with the images of mythological Pegasus.

As usual, Giles presents the collection of his very special hats. Implementing the idea of the Spring Summer'13 show, he created some accessories of glass. The palette of the brand new designs consists of white, black, blue and grey tones.
