The famous brand Pal Zileri that is essentially synonymous with the high quality and true Italian elegance has also been presented to the guests of the largest Fashion week in Eastern Europe, the 25th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. The concept of the brand-new Spring-Summer’13 collection is comfort and ease with Mediterranean accent.
The Pal Zileri first appeared on the fashion map in 1970, and since that time it has been delighting admirers of the stylish business and casual clothing. The company operates out of Quinto Vicentino, in the heart of the Veneto region, Italy, but it has also become a well-known label in over 70 countries, including Russia, Moscow, where three boutiques are located. The key to Pal Zileri's success lies in the balance of the two elements: a brand that fully expresses Italy's dominance and confidence in the classic fashion sector.
To date, a new course on differentiation has been taken, and the tailor-made suits go hand-in-hand with more casual proposals put forward by the new labels: “Pal Zileri Concept” and “LAB”, creating a total look with coordinated accessories: shoes and belts, pens, umbrellas, suitcases, watches and perfumes. However, the leading product of the company is still the Italian canvassed suit, an architecture of high-quality fabrics and handicrafts improved by generations of tailors. Yvan Benbanaste, the Pal Zileri’s fashion coordinator, achieved his goal of giving Pal Zileri a singular identity by coordinating clothing and sportswear with a uniform color scheme, elevating the quality of its fabrics, and streamlining its production methods.
The range of fabrics used in the Spring-Summer’13 collection consists of wool, silk and flax. A lot of jackets created in pastel tones are made of wool and flax with angora covering the buttons. Some elegant wool-silk-flax combinations have been created specially for this collection. The palette is balancing between the so-called “Mid Greys” grey tones mixing with the tints of the blue lavender and the accessories of the same colour, while the “Bluesnaples” deep hues coincide with the sparkling cyclamen. The antique-pink palette of the various details highlights the light-grey shades used in the collection.
This time, Pal Zileri offers the shirts with their unique mosaic print. They reflect the creative quintessence of the brand “made in Italy” that combines 3-4 different types of fabrics in one item. This season’s casual wear is made of the luxurious materials, such as ultra-lightweight waterproof cotton and silk with leather trim, flax crepe, madras fabrics combined with chamois-leather, and waterproof stretch nylon.
Inspired by the atmosphere of the famous film “The Postman”, the palette of the new collection is bright, but a bit dusty and bleached. Everything is associated with the sea: all jackets are without backing, and fabrics have a transpirable structure. Sports pants chinos with an impressive variety of details make the Spring-Summer’13 collection upscale and memorable.
