Tatiana Parfionova

The exhibition of Tatiana Parfionova is the demonstration of St. Petersburg designers school in the sphere of high fashion that takes place at the public culture preserve «Tsaritsino». The culture preserve «Tsaritsino», that possesses a significant collection of suits, carries on the tradition of introducing the outstanding Russian masters to the general public.

The art-exhibition project «The history of suit and fashion from the times of Yekaterina II till nowadays» started in 2005. At different times the halls of the museum were adorned with the expositions of the suits of native fashion masters — Viacheslav Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, as well as young designers. In 2012 «Fashion behind iron curtain» exhibition came off, where many Moscow museums and the famous fashion historian Aleksandr Vasiliev participated with suits and accessories collection.

The exhibition of Tatiana Parfionova’s works is the demonstration of St. Petersburg designers school in the sphere of high fashion. More than 450 exhibits (suits, articles of furniture, designer textiles, footwear and accessories, porcelain, painting, books, drawings) were placed in 11 halls of the Bread house of culture preserve «Tsaritsino». Tatiana Parfionova stands in one rank with the international level designers that work in the sphere of high fashion and form the vertu of the contemporaries.

Fashion House is developing in different directions. The vectors of this development are created by a peculiar person — Tatiana Parfionova. Paintings and dresses, books and performances, porcelain and articles of furniture — all these took place and time in her creative work. Dresses created by her are a kind of paintings. The stories from her books echo author’s picturesque and graphic works. Art-performances are common to illustrated literary narrations, and wonderful interiors remind the linen of old masters. The exhibition is opened till the 5th of May, 2013.
