Moscow Fashion Week. Made In Russia

Starting from October 30 to November 4, 2013 with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation a new season of Moscow Fashion Week will happen in Russian capital. The main fashion event is traditionally held in the historic city centre, one of the most impressive architectural masterpieces - Gostiny Dvor. New Spring-Summer 2014 collections will be presented by Russian and foreign designers.

Fashion Week in Moscow will be opened on November 30, 2013 by one of the most famous Russian fashion designers - Valentin Yudashkin. The leaders of the Russian market - Victoria Andreyanova, Alexander Arngoldt, Masha Tsigal, Alexander Serov, Sergey Sysoev, Lisa Romaniuk and many others will show their creations during Moscow Fashion Week.

In the new season, organizers of Fashion Week in Moscow have prepared a lot of surprises. Russian and international press, guests and members of the fashion industry will see two premieres - the presentation of a new logo of Moscow Fashion Week and a new concept of the event’s space design.

 Design is developed by international agency Interbrand, known for its collaborations with major international brands, as well as for the creation of Swedish banknotes design. Developing the concept of Moscow Fashion Week platform is a project of national importance, over which the specialists have been working for several months.

Managing director of the Russian office of Interbrand Christoph Marty says: "We have developed a new, very laconic graphic logo of the Moscow Fashion Week, and drawing of the pattern was inspired by the mosaic floor of the State Historical Museum. Very bright, almost fluorescent colors emphasize the depth of change that are happening now: it is a fundamentally different Moscow Fashion Week".

 According to the experience of international fashion weeks, updated venue of Moscow Fashion Week has its single stylistic concept. For the first time, the second floor is constructed that will make the space more interesting and will highlight architectural beauty of the place with its arches and vaults. 

The site meets all the latest trends with a focus on multimedia and provides ample space for presentations with all the modern media technologies. All the foreign guests of Moscow Fashion Week will be able to hold their seminars and master-classes at the top level, just as it happens globally.

Supporting the Russian fashion industry, every season Moscow Fashion Week gives a chance to talented young designers and companies, representatives of major Russian enterprises to show their collections. In the new season, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation large retail chains collections, such as SELA, SAVAGE, and many others will be presented. The second season in a row the biggest fashion event of Moscow cooperates with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which allows to develop Moscow fashion Week as an event of national importance following the example of Western fashion weeks that are actively supported by regional governments. During the event specially created show-rooms will present the best products of Russian manufacturers, demonstrating the high quality and the tradition of Russian factories and workshops.

On November 4 largest Russian retail-chains: Incity, Baon, Finn Flair, “World of Leather and Fur" and many others will show their collections. Dmitry Loginov, one of the most famous Russian designers, is an official stylist of Moscow fashion Week, who will help fashion-designers to create the images in accordance with the current trends. At the end of the day, final young designers competition of the Moscow State University of Design and Technology will be held.

Moscow Fashion Week has always been of great interest to foreign press. This season, a lot of American buyers and journalists will visit it. Thus, Moscow Fashion Week is developing international relations between Russia and the Western fashion industry and also gives an opportunity to Russian designers to establish connections with representatives of major retail chains operating successfully outside Russia. One of the main guests of the Week will be the founder of the global fashion project “Moda Operandi” and a member of on the wealthiest families Indre Rockefeller. Besides, famous American journalists, stylists and buyers, as well as Billy Farrell Agency photo agency, founded by one of the most famous New York photographer Billy Farrell, who became a real guru in the event photography will visit Moscow.
