The fashion show of the famous Russian designer Alena Akhmadullina was held on January 14, 2014 in the framework of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, where she presented a new Fall-Winter/2014-2015 season collection as the headliner at Berlin Fashion Week, with the support of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
In Fall-Winter/2014-2015 season, the conceptual Russian brand Alena Akhmadullina appeals to the English writer Oscar Wilde's "The Canterville Ghost" short story. Inspired by the British men's suits, the brand designers are interpreting it in women's clothing through such details, as enlarged pocket valves, details on the classic trench coats and dresses, as well as combinations of typical elements of the English costume with drapery. Long womanly dresses with laces, drapery and, of course, made of fabrics with signature prints oppose the part of the collection, inspired by men's costume.
Alena Akhmadullina’s designer prints are devoted to certain characters and to the scenes of the fairy narration. Evening dresses to the floor are made of fabric with prints in shape of the old castle’s interior parts: chandeliers and wooden paneled walls and floor are made in dark tones with splashes of bright colors.
Some prints were inspired by 19th-century women's dresses: hand-drawn pencil and watercolor laces and a large print of watercolor-painted ribbons and boutonnieres. Alena Akhmadullina will present the collection of Fall-Winter/2014-2015 season in Russia as well.
