The second day of the 31st season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was opened with a brand show of Vadim Merlis, marked with the Grand Prix of Lamanova contest. The designer presented a collection Madrid, filled with the atmosphere of a hot Spanish city. This determined the choice of fabric - lightness combined with rich drapery and layering, translucent sundresses and toga dresses that leave a hint of the silhouette behind. Merlis picks up the trend of sleeveless jackets with adjustable waist, accompanied by pajama straight leg pants both in female and male collections, chooses horizontal and vertical stripe, colors of meringue, sand and tired summer sky.

Natali Leskova was the next to present her collection. You can trace the views of the northern capital, where the designer was born, settled on flared skirts and dresses: St. Isaac's Cathedral and the panorama of St. Petersburg, the stained-glass windows of the Hermitage. Lacquered wine color accessories associated with gloss polished cars on the Palace embankment, go in tandem with the regal blue fit velour dresses and cropped cardigans. White sneakers with gold toes and pumps with heels sum up St. Petersburg nostalgic collection.

Designer Anastasia Gassi and her brand I V K A showed a performance presentation. Fashion as high art – thus can be described a range of images, a synthesis of avant-garde with abstract expressionism. Models with whitewashed faces walked the runway to live music, while performing. Textured garments, flashy accessories (silver collars and elegant hats); at the same time - complete absence of garnish accessories and a very clear form. The designer continues to follow her concept - not more than five copies of each model.

It followed by the runway show of Tako Mekvabidze - Veiled woman. The designer was inspired by Muslim countries, their perception of beauty, sensuality and style, and the veil has become the intriguing link of the entire collection. Muslim culture has reflected in unusual combinations and bright accents like sequins, transparent fabrics, air blouses, dress hemlines and jackets with geometric print.

A positive and colorful part of the event was FUREDDO runway show. Designer Anastasia Strugaleva tried to unite in the spring-summer 2016 collection two cultures - Russian and Japanese. The main symbol of the show and a new line of clothing was matryoshka: classic Russian and Japanese prototype composite dolls, symbolizing god of good luck Fukuruma. Thematic prints dominated overall entire collection, both in men and women's outfits: matryoshka silhouettes, their images with panda muzzles were everywhere.

ZARINA & Natalia Vodianova presented Mini me collection within the framework of the joint project Sensible Fashion. Naked Hearts Foundation established by Natalia Vodianova took part in the design of the collection - people with disabilities were invited to dream up on blossoming Russian field theme. The assortment turned out variegated: topical floral prints, flowing fabrics, floating organza combined with the finest lace, soft color palette - all was presented in two versions, in the style of family look for mothers and their daughters.

LAROOM brand designer Evgeniya Legkodymova created a thematic collection, inspired by hot Africa. There are no deliberately ethnic items in line - the bet is placed on lush colors and textures. Jeans with fringing furnish, airy chiffon sundresses with bold slits, minimalist dresses decorated with geometric patterns and metallic-line – all of them are presented here, where all things are a little ‘spacy’.

Designer Alena Akhmadullina found inspiration for her spring-summer collection in Russian fairy tale Sadko. The starting point was the theme of waves and underwater world, embodied in the fairy tale. To the water sounds girls in white dresses and trouser suits opened the show and after that - blue and turquoise shade dresses. Like the waves of the sea rising from light blue to deep blue, the colors and fabrics of collection were changing.

VIVA VOX embellished collection with raspberry and acid-green colors with inclusions of black and white stripes and cells. Space fantasies buzz in silvery black leather jackets, leather dresses with applicative cutouts on the back and luxurious crepe coat-robes. Ultraboundary nineties sparkle through rhinestones on the flared pants and jackets with shoulders made of printed fabric with embroidered Japanese cherry tree.

Amazing triumph of life showed the designer of brand Razu Mikhina with collection The Balkans, which was the final show of the second day. Rich colors, showing ethnic diversity of the peninsula, use of national dress elements, filigreed study of patterns and fabrics - line images turned out to be original and catchy.

Two brands were presented today in presentation boxes - MASTERPEACE and SOL'Designers. A new collection of MASTERPEACE brand has a rebellious basis – designer Evgeniya Linovich was inspired by Gypsy nomadic culture, courage, diversity and showiness of the nation. Various rims and large beads, thematic accessories - all designed in one style. In addition to the accessory line, there is a small capsule of clothing presented by sundresses, tunics and caftans.

Brand SOL'Designers is a duet of photographer Olga Selivanova and florist Anna Kovalenko. Spring-summer collection from SOL'Designers is the femininity and sensuality two-in-one, flawless performance and tender pastel combinations. Elegant silk dresses, transparent blouses, slim-fit jackets - the entire collection is riddled with ease and serenity.

In addition to the major events, the off-site platform on the Teatralnyi proezd street hosted presentation of J. Kim brand. Creative work of designer Jenya Kim refers to the interpretation of ancient Asian culture.
